Dr. Alka Deo Marulkar (Vocal)
The privileged daughter of a rare vocalist, grounded in three gharanas - Gwalior, Kirana and Jaipur - at the same time, AlkaTai, as she is lovingly referred to, is groomed and guided by her father, Pandit Rajabhau Deo. As a global performer she has visited several countries, apart from participating in prestigious concerts in India. If you listen to AlkaTai you get the best of hindustani music - i.e., the solidity of Gwalior, the romanticism of Kirana, and the intellectual flair of Jaipur gharanas - all in one, apart from the sensuous and spirited rendering of semi-classical compositions like thumari, dadara, chaiti, hori, kajari in the exuberant Purab style. In order to get a grasp of her versatility, we have only to look at her albums “Teerath”, “Krishnamayi”, “Archana”, “Aaji Ananda Ananda”, to name a few .
Shivani M Dasakkar (Vocal)
Being born in an illustrious family of stalwarts in music like her grandfather, Pandit Rajabhau Deo, and her mother, Alka Deo Mrulkar, Shivani is reared into the field of music with dutiful diligence, scholarly discipline and artistic taste to preserve the uncanny rigor of her voice. She is a promising outstanding artist with an entrancing voice and enchanting demeanor. Shivani is a recipient of several awards and scholarships. She has also been honored with the prestigious title - “Surmani” by Sur Singar Samsad, Mumbai and “Yuva Sangeet Puraskaar” by Vasantrao Deshpande Foundation, Pune.
Sanjay Deshpande (Tabla)
Sanjay has trained under the renowned Tabla player Pt. Suresh Talwalkar of
Delhi-Farookabad Gharana, in a Guru Shishya Parampara for 6 years. He also
had the privilege of learning the Punjab Gharana under the guidance of world
renowned Tabla maestro Ustad Alla Rakha Khan Saheb. He has performed in
major conferences such as Sawai Gandharwa Music Festival Pune, Paluskar
Smarak Conference, and Dover Lane Conference, Kolkata. Sanjay has
performed worldwide including U.S.A, U.K, U.A.E, Canada, Australia,
Switzerland, Russia, Holland, Qatar, Sri Lanka, and South Korea. His fusion
album “Wind From Ayuta” with Korean musicians won the Best album award of
the year - 2002 in South Korea.
Subhash Dasakkar (Harmonium)
Reared not only by his grandfather,Shri Govindshastri Dasakkar, and father,Shri.Prabhakar Dasakkar, Subhash is a privileged artist to be also trained by Sitar maestro Ustad Shahid Parvez . He has been felicitated by many awards. He has accompanied many renowned artists like Smt.Gangubai Hangal, Pt.Jitendra Abhisheki, Smt.Ashwini Bhide and many others. He is widely popular among the Tabla players for his Lehara accompaniment. He has accompanied great Tabla Players like Ustad Alla Rakha,Ustad Zakir Hussein, Pt.Anindo Chatterjee, and Pt.Suresh Talwalkar. He has also accompanied several renowned Kathak Dancers like Pt.Birju Maharaaj.
