Illuminated Letters: A Calligraphic Performance

Illuminated Letters:
a Calligraphic Performance is a visual art performance, featuring
international calligraphers demonstrating medieval and contemporary
techniques, including Persian, Chinese and Western styles (unfortunately, the participant writing in Urdu can not come--maybe next time there will be Hindi and Urdu calligraphy!).
The
concept of this performance is based on well known calligrapher, Brody
Neuenschwander's ground breaking performance art "Brush with Silence"
held in Germany and Japan, which had people lined up out the door. The
Atlanta version was so successful last year that the hosting guild,
Friends of the Alphabet, has made it an annual event. For more info, see http://www.friendsofthealphabet.org/illuminated.html
