Judge Rosemary Barkett, judge of the Iran-United States Claims Tribunal, will give the 2018 David J. Bederman Lecture. The title of her lecture will be “Immigrants, Refugees, and Women: International Obligations and the United States.”

The Bederman Lecture is held annually and was established to honor the late Professor Bederman's extraordinary record of scholarship, teaching, and advocacy. Bederman, the K. H. Gyr Professor of Private International Law at Emory Law, was a noted authority on public international law, admiralty, and legal history.
