India's Daughter, with filmmaker Leslee Udwin

In recognition of April being Sexual Assault Awareness
Month, we invite you to the Atlanta premiere of the
documentary, India’s Daughter. Screening will be
followed by a panel discussion with special guest,
Leslee Udwin, director/producer of India’s Daughter.
India's Daughter is a documentary film based on the
2012 violent rape of a college student in Delhi. The
filmmaker interviews the victim's family, defense
lawyers and convicted rapist as well as female leaders
who discuss cultural biases against women. Director
Leslee Udwin challenges us to address whether
women’s inequality is "the greatest unfinished business
of our times."
Panel discussion will include advocates to end sexual
violence, community leaders and the documentarian.
The film engages in dialogue to end violence against
women and asks us to convert dialogue into action.
