Interfaith Iftar Dinner: "A Fast Such as This?"

Fast-breaking dinner.
Atlantic Institute is partnering with Neshama Interfaith Center for their second annual gathering during Ramadan. This fast-breaking dinner is free of charge and welcome to everyone. The Atlantic Institute will have Rabbi Bernstein of Congregation Gesher L'Torah and Kemal Korucu - Director of Interfaith Affairs, Atlantic Institute - speak on "A Fast Such as This?" with the Iftar (fast-breaking) dinner to follow.Each of our faiths talks of fasting as a path for piety and Divine service. And each of our faiths teaches that fasting is more than refraining from food and drink. From Sacred Scriptures to spiritual masters such as Rumi and the Baal Shem Tov we learn what it means to fast as well as what it means to draw deeply from the joys of this world and beyond.
