Khabar Wins Honorary Mention for the Prestigious Folio Award
Khabar’s editorial “Quagmire: Black Lives in the U.S.,” published in the July 2020 issue, is one of the three Honorary Mentions for Folio’s Eddie Awards in the category of “Essays and Criticism.”
Folio Awards, the nation’s largest and longest standing awards for the magazine industry recognizes the best of editorial and design content from thousands of entries each year. Amongst previous winners are Washington Post, New York Times, Reader’s Digest, AARP Magazine, Variety Magazine, and many others.
The Award, announced on October 14th at the Award Ceremony at Metropolitan Pavilion in NYC, went to WebMD magazine for its essay, “Black Lives Matter” by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
