Krishna Jayanthi Celebrations

Join us at the MA Center Atlanta on Sept 1st for Sri Krishna Jayanthi Celebrations. Br. Ramanand will lead us in an evening filled with fun, games, prayer, and devotional fervor.
Schedule
5-6:30pm: Procession, Games (Uri Adi, Tug of war etc (for Adults and children alike) and other games.
7:00pm: Dinner
8:00pm to Midnight: Satsang and Midnight Celebrations of the Birth of Lord Krishna
Midnight Celebrations: The Birth of Lord Krishna at midnight is a very special ceremony. The idol of baby Krishna is brought and then rocked in a cradle. A popular belief is that any wish made while rocking the cradle is fulfilled on this day. The entire Ashram echoes with the sound of the conch (shankh) and ringing of bells. Devotees pray and welcome the Lord with lively bhajans and chants.
