Launch of GOPIO - Atlanta, Global Organization of People of Indian Origin

An Inaugural Function for the opening of GOPIO's Atlanta chapter and Awards Banquet in honor of Participants in India's freedom struggle –will be held by GOPIO-Atlanta on Saturday, the 23rd of April, 2011. The Consul General of India (Houston), Mr. Sanjiv Arora, will be gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest of Honor. He will be accompanied by Dr. Piyush Agrawal, National Coordinator, Global Organization of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO). The CGI will present the awards to local activists who participated in India's freedom struggle.Atlanta residents Mustafa Ajmeri, Dr. Devang Shah, Paddy Sharma, Upendra Bhatt, Narayan Swami, Bhairavi Nadgonde, Subhash Razdan, Shiv Aggarwal have constituted the initial Committee and Advisory Council of GOPIO-Atlanta and invite all PIOs in Atlanta to join our powerful international network.
