Literature Night at Waller's Coffee Shop
Sunday, November 3, 6:30-8:30
Please join us for another Literature Night at Waller's Coffee Shop in Decatur.
This Sunday we will feature readings by Historian and GSU professor Maurice J. Hobson, author of The Legend of the Black Mecca: Politics and Class in the Making of Modern Atlanta.
Young adult novelist (In Deep, Criminal, being friends with boys) Terra Elan McVoy will read from her work.
Poet and Agnes Scott College Professor Waqas Khwaja will read from his new collection of poems, Hold Your Breath.
And we will be celebrating writers birthdays for November. Janet Metzger will read from mystery writer Rita Mae Brown, Lynn Farmer will read from Mark Twain and Yakou Daniel N'Guessan will read from Chinua Achebe's Things Fall Apart. I am your humble host.
The evening is free though we ask a small donation to support programs at Waller's. There is a $5 corkage fee if you byob. There is good food and coffee but get there early if you want to eat and get a good seat. If you can't join us in person we will be streaming live on Facebook on the Waller's Coffee Shop Facebook page. The show will also be archived so you can watch later. Hope to see you Sunday!
P.S. Overflow parking across the street at Dearborn and Wag-a-Lot. Handicapped parking on the right side of the building.
