Nepali Outreach: Well Informed Community is a Stronger One
Public · Hosted by Tapestri Inc. and Raksha, Inc
Please join Tapestri, Raksha, Inc, the Non Resident Nepali Association (NRNA USA Georgia Chapter), the Nepalese Association of Southeast America (NASeA), and the Nepalese Association of Georgia (NAG) for a community education event, A Well Informed Community is a Stronger Community. On Saturday, January 20 from 3-5 PM at Himalayan Spice, our organizations will gather to discuss gender equity, domestic violence, and applicable laws in the United States.

Namaste! "Prevention is better than cure." In light of the current news on gender related violence and harassment in all over US media, it's time we, as a Nepali community, started this discussion to become aware of such issues and how to prevent them. This is an educational, interactive, and informative program to understand the details of what constitutes Gender Violence and Sexual Harassment at home, workplace, and street. And, also this program aims to make people understand the related US Laws so that we are an informed community. An informed community is a stronger community.

Facebook Live: Surya Lamsal, Bishwa Subba

The program will have professional and field expert Guest Speakers from Raksha and Tapestri, two non-profits working in this field.

Everyone is welcome!

Date: Sunday, January 28, 2018
