SEWA (Sikh Educational Welfare Association Inc): Gurudwara Sahib Gurudwara is a Sikh place of worship. Gurudwara is a compound word created by combining Gur for Guru and Dwara meaning door or house. Thus the word Gurdwara means the door or house of the Guru. It is both a spiritual place of worship and a cultural learning centre for the young budding American Sikhs.
