SHANTINIKETAN FUNDRAISING MUSICAL EVENT

SHANTINIKETAN FUNDRAISING MUSICAL EVENT

Dear Friends and Well-Wishers,

We sincerely thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your continuous support towards Shantiniketan Rehabilitation Center for the Special Needs. With your support and contribution, we are able to provide quality rehabilitation services such as special education, physiotherapy, speech therapy, yoga, community-based instruction, disability awareness programs and vocational training to needy children. However, all these services were being provided in a rented building since 2011, and we had to move to six different buildings in the meantime. Therefore, Shantiniketan team has decided to construct the permanent building to give a better hope and providing services to more children.

We hope that you all remember the fundraising event, which we did on March 5, 2016, when many sponsors and donors came forward to support this project.  First, we thank each and every sponsor and donor for your support and contribution. With the funds raised since the last event, we are pleased share that we are able to construct the permanent building. It took three years, but finally with all your blessings we are able to complete the building construction. Our current and primary goal is to provide the rehabilitation services to 25 residential students and at least 25 day-scholars. We like to have multi-disciplinary service team and equipment that can evaluate and diagnose the children with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, intellectual disability, hearing impairment, and ADD, ADHD and Emotional behavior disorder. As you all can imagine the rural areas are neglected and we do not have these types of services available for needy children. Moreover, unfortunately the children with special needs are abused by the people. With your continued support and blessing, we wants to drive these special need children to path for independence to certain extent.

To provide the quality rehabilitation services, we need a good infrastructure, such as therapeutic units, physiotherapy, speech therapy, Audiometry, multi-sensory unit, early intervention, psychological evaluation, special education classrooms, and cafeteria and play area. With the support from you, we were able to construct a spacious building by now, but we need the infrastructure to build. So please come forward to help us to make a difference. Every child need an opportunity to utilize their intellectual abilities to develop the survival skills or to be an independent to certain extent. Please join with us for a fundraising and musical event on May 4, 2-6 PM, followed by the dinner at Hindu Temple of Atlanta (Riverdale).

Please put your hands together to make a change in special needs children lives. “Together we can build a better life for Special Needs Children"
