Sandy Springs Festival “Cultural Corner”
Sandy Springs Festival will feature a “Cultural Corner”
Established in 1984 as “Founders Day”, the Sandy Springs Festival has grown from a small picnic to the largest community event in Sandy Springs, drawing 20,000 attendees over two days.
The Sandy Springs Festival offers two exciting days of art, live music, cultural performances, a pet parade, Chalk Walk Art Competition, 10K and 5K race, children’s programming, classic rides, gourmet and festival food options, and much more.
As the primary fundraiser for Heritage Sandy Springs – the nonprofit organization that saved the original “sandy springs” and is dedicated to a vibrant community engaged in history, culture, and stewardship – this celebrated community tradition has something for everyone.
We are thrilled to again be presenting the festival free of charge to our community, and there are many more exciting changes on the horizon, including an expanded footprint into the beautiful NEW City Springs property.

Heritage Sandy Springs is gearing up to present the 33rd Annual Sandy Springs Festival, a two-day event in the heart of Sandy Springs on September 22 and 23. This year’s Festival has a brand new footprint anchored by City Springs, which provides an opportunity for several new and exciting features.
Over the years, the Festival has celebrated the city’s heritage and present day Sandy Springs with an artist market, food court, exhibits by local businesses and civic organizations, a children’s zone, musical entertainment, and more. As Sandy Springs has grown, it has become home to an increasingly diverse international population that has put down roots in the area and enriched the community with their unique cultures.
This year, the Sandy Springs Festival will feature a “Cultural Corner” – a lively, fun, and educational series of exhibits and activities designed to showcase and celebrate the community’s diversity. This interactive area will be in a prime location on Mt. Vernon Highway adjacent to City Springs. Local ethnic restaurants, businesses, civic organizations, and artists are invited to participate and tell their stories through cuisine, goods and services, music, dance, art, and crafts. Heritage Sandy Springs’ vision is to create a colorful international market atmosphere where attendees can meet their newest neighbors while enjoying their unique cultures.
International artists, businesses, civic groups, and restaurants are encouraged to contact the Festival Director at festival@heritagesandysprings.
