Sewa International USA (http://sewausa.org/), a nonprofit with grassroots volunteers serving humanity in need, beyond geographic boundaries. Rehabilitating children found in Indian railway stations, providing livelihood to widows and orphans in the post-civil war Sri Lanka, empowering refugee women with marketable skills in the USA--these are a few among the larger goals to provide relief and rehabilitation, education and health care in rural and tribal areas, women empowerment, refugee resettlement. In order to support these worldwide efforts please join us for our Annual Fundraiser, THIRKAN 2014.
We have invited all the talented Indian dance groups and organizations to show their talent in Indian folk dances from different regions of India. Performances feature dance styles of Bharatnatyam, Kuchipudi, Lavani, Kathak, Rajasthani and Bhangra. Deeksha School of Performing Arts will also be participating and presenting 'Jaya He' - A short tribute to Guru Rabindranath Tagore.
