Hello everyone! Hope you're doing well. Just wanted to let you know about a volunteer opportunity Friday December 8th afternoon/evening if you're interested!
The Shah Law Firm is sponsoring game night at the Side by Side Clubhouse (http://www.sidebysideclubhouse.org/). Side by Side is a place where people living with the lifelong effects of traumatic brain injury (TBI) are respected and valued as contributing community members. Their rehabilitation focuses on the abilities, strengths and volunteer efforts of members who work side by side with staff to manage all operations of the Clubhouse. In this supportive environment, members once again learn to contribute in meaningful ways that carry over to work, home and community. Finally, a life-changing injury is transformed into a new normal for members and their families as they move from being a medical patient to living a full and satisfying life.
They have a game night on the second Friday of every month from 3:30pm to 6:00pm at Side by Side. They play board and card games (e.g. Uno, dominoes, Scrabble) and the Wii, eat and socialize. Come for some of it, or come for all of it! All you need is yourself and a good attitude. The Shah Law Firm, as sponsor, provides the meal (usually breakfast for dinner with the Flying Biscuit by repeated request!). These evenings are a lot of fun, for everyone, and have recently grown in popularity as their concurrent family support group held offsite has grown.

• If you're interested, please respond and let me know. Also let me know what time you'll think you'll arrive/depart. It's ok if you come late or leave early.
