Sikh Symposium is an event to behold ! It is exhilarating to hear speeches from young kids and to see how proud they feel of our heritage. It is an excellent platform to help them experience public speaking in a non threatening way. If your kid is shy, use this opportunity to break some barriers ! Program begins promptly at 1:30pm. We will have delicious snacks and cha langar to start. Program ends at 4:30pm followed by pizza langar and prizes for everyone.
The Symposium is open to the youth belonging to the following age groups, who will base their speeches on the following books:
Group I : 06-08 yr. Basic Knowledge of Sikhism by SMC (Punjabi & English)
Group II : 09-10 yr. Warrior Princess Mata Bhaag Kaur by S. Harmeet Singh (English & Punjabi)
Group III : 11-13 yr. Brief History of The Sikh Gurus by SMC (Punjabi & English)
Group IV : 14-17 yr. Teaching Sikh Heritage to the Youth Vol 1 by Dr. Gurbaksh Singh (English only)
Group V : 16-22 yr. Sikhism - A Universal Message by Dr. Gurbaksh Singh (English only)
