Speech Police: The Global Struggle to Govern the Internet

Speech Police: The Global Struggle to Govern the Internet

Come see David Kaye, United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Right to Freedom of Opinion and Expression, as the speaker for Emory Law's 3rd Annual Global Leaders Lecture.

David Kaye is an international expert on human rights and freedom of expression and a leading voice on digital security, free speech, and the internet.

Launched in 2016, the Global Leaders Lecture brings national and international leaders to Emory to speak on a range of issues related to promoting the rule of law as an instrument of national and international security.

Emory Law’s International Humanitarian Law Clinic works directly with international tribunals, militaries, non-governmental organizations and other entities to enhance protections during wartime and promote accountability for war crimes, genocide and crimes against humanity.

He might include the recent shutdown of the internet in Kashmir.
