Over the last thirty years Charles Lipman built a great company in the HVAC industry. It was highly regarded within the industry and one of the largest privately held businesses in the state of Georgia . His formula was simple – deeply respect everyone in the organization; give your managers the freedom they need to take risks to be successful; and be a mentor for all. Charles has great instincts, he is a brilliant problem solver, and he knows how to think outside the box – all attributes of a gifted entrepreneur. Charles exited Diversitech as Chairman and majority shareholder in April 2016.

John Cook
Co-Founder

Profit Recovery Group (PRG)
(publicly held global company)

John Cook took over PRG in 1991, which was a very small company (~5 Million in revenue) at the time. From there he made over 30 acquisitions to roll up the industry and create a $460 million company that was the largest recovery audit company in the world. Cook had a two phase exit: he first brought in Berkshire Hathaway in the early 90s and gave up minority control of the business and later took the company public in 1996. He eventually retired from PRG from the company's Chairman/CEO role in 2005. He has subsequently been active with companies like SPI and his own company Flextecs.
