TiE Atlanta Announces TiE LaunchPad
Silicon Valley Accelerator Seeks B2B Entrepreneurs in the TiE Ecosystem
ATLANTA, GA - (October 14, 2013) - TiE Atlanta, a nonprofit venture dedicated to the entire lifecycle of the entrepreneur, has long been the premier place for entrepreneurs to network, find inspiration, and create successful startups and businesses. With its global reach and influence, TiE is continually expanding the ways in which it supports members and contributes to the success of entrepreneurs. Most recently, TiE of Silicon Valley announced TiE LaunchPad, an accelerator for B2B companies, and is actively seeking enterprise or B2B companies for the program from all TiE chapters.
All TiE members have access to TiE LaunchPad, which is seen by many as the most significant innovation in TiE's history. Eight selected companies will receive $50,000 in funding as well as access to a dedicated mentor and educational opportunities. Mentors offer strategic and tactical guidance, and deploy their Rolodex to help the companies validate their businesses. More than 50 Charter Members and invited mentors have already joined TiE LaunchPad, including serial entrepreneurs, investors, CIOs and more.
"TiE LaunchPad presents an tremendous opportunity for our members," said Palaniswamy "Raj" Rajan, TiE Atlanta's President. "The entrepreneurial landscape in Atlanta is robust. Now, with greater access to Silicon Valley, we are significantly raising the ability for greater success. And our Charter Members are really the key to this; investing their time, funds, and market access. It truly is 'the lifecycle of the entrepreneur' playing out."
Charter Member investors have already overwhelmingly voted with their dollars, with fund interest of $5M far exceeding the goal of $3.6M. TiE SV is currently seeking enterprise or B2B companies in cloud, infrastructure, big data, mobile and other sectors to apply for the program.
