Walk a Mile - Help a Child

The first walkathon in Atlanta by Hand In Hand USA (“HIH USA”), a non-profit organization based in the USA, was a grand success!! The Walkathon is back this year with aplomb on August 17th from 7.30-10am at the picturesque Chattahoochee Pointe Park in Forsyth County. There is no registration fee to sign up and free breakfast along with trivia prizes for children promises to make it a memorable family fun day for a noble cause.
HIH USA was established in 2001 to provide humanitarian aid and their mission is to serve impoverished communities in India during times of need. The largest project of HIH USA is Hariharananda Balashram, a residential school educating students from pre-kindergarten to 10th grade. Students are selected from extremely impoverished, orphaned conditions. Because of your generosity, they will get an opportunity for a fresh start. This is also an auspicious year marking the 50th year of Swami Hariharananda’s coming to the West. What an incredible gesture to honor his legacy by walking on August 17th.
HIH USA is run entirely by volunteers and hence over 95% of the funds raised directly benefit the children. Currently, the overwhelming need is for technical infrastructure and online instruction for children. Won’t you and your families come and walk to transform a child’s life? Get more details on the amazing difference being made at Hariharananda Balashram.
