Come Join Us on September 19th!
World Languages Day highlights the linguistic and international diversity present in our urban communities and connects students with leaders in international commerce, social services, and governmental agencies, with international and global connections. In an effort to raise student awareness of the benefits of language study and global competency, the Center for Urban Language Teaching and Research (CULTR), a U.S. Department of Education Title VI LRC, hosts this exploratory language conference and resource fair for students while emphasizing businesses and professions that value language expertise.
Students will have the opportunity to meet with leaders in international commerce, social services, public health, and governmental agencies with international and global connections and learn more about the benefits of language study to create a “map” to language success and a future professional career.
Working from the massive success of last year's event, CULTR is further expanding this event to over 1,200 students across the Southeast region alongside even more distinguished organizations. Join other teachers and students from across the region as professional opportunities with language expertise are showcased!
