In this compelling tale of love and devotion, the Hindu heroine, Savitri, is determined to save the life of her husband--challenging both destiny and the god of death himself. Will her charm and cunning save her beloved's soul? Find out in this gripping performance told through the beautiful music of Gustav Holst and the classic South Indian dance form, Bharatanatyam.

The Kennesaw State University Schools of Music and Dance will present an interdisplinary performance of "Savitri" in the intimate Onyx Theater on August 25th, 26th, & 27th. You won't want to miss this unique pairing of ancient and modern storytelling, performed by the talented dancers and singers of KSU's College of the Arts. This production is directed by Todd Wedge with choreography by Rifka Mayani and music direction by Judy Cole.
