teaching for all spiritual seekers. This chapter elucidates an important sentence from the Brhadaranyaka
Upanishad that declares that unshakeable self knowledge leads to the resolution of all desires and the
cessation of sorrow. This class will continue with Swaminiji’s subsequent visits to Atlanta.

Verses from the Mundakopanisad
Using the example of two birds perched on a tree, the Mundakopanishad has a unique method delineate
the self, from all the mistaken identities as useless, mortal or finite that one has internalised. The self is
the witness, aware of all thoughts and actions without being afflicted by them. This inner witness is
revealed as none other than Isvara, God. The study of these verses imparts clarity and courage, and
strengthens one's integration with the sakshi, the witness. Consequently, one is able to play one's roles
effectively in life cheerfully and without stress.
