The Georgia Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (GIACC) hosted the Andhra Chamber of Commerce delegation for a breakfast meeting on Tuesday, September 6th, as well as an evening networking reception on Thursday, September 8th. Trade professionals were given the opportunity to interact with industry and government counterparts within an inviting social environment.
Jorge Fernandez of the Metro Atlanta Chamber, and Mark Lyle of the Georgia Department of Economic Development gave informative presentations, and the U.S. Commercial Service offered support and information to U.S. companies exploring ideas of potential expansions into markets overseas. As a result, many positive business contacts were established and the benefits of business relationships between India, Georgia and Atlanta were discussed.
D.V. Venkatagiri, principal coordinator of the delegation, stated it best: “The networking breakfast and the evening reception offered a great opportunity for the members of the Indian business delegation to know directly about the successes of Indian companies here and why it is important to network, particularly in the U.S. market.” Kumar, Prabhu, Patel & Banerjee, LLC and Wells Fargo were major sponsors of this event.
