GVA celebrates Shree Geeta Jayanti

The Gaudiya Vaishnava Association (GVA) observed Shree Geeta Jayanti with joy and enthusiasm at their Alpharetta center on December 22, 2023, under the guidance and blessings of its founder Acharya His Divine Grace Bhakti Swarup Tirtha Maharaj.

About 150 members attended the program and read verses from Shree Bhagavad Geeta and listened to the ChatuhShloki Bhagavad Geeta (10.8-10.11) recited and explained in detail by His Divine Grace Bhakti Swarup Tirtha Maharaja.

The GVA center, nicely decorated by the devotee volunteers, welcomed the guests. A very attractive chariot with Lord Shree Krishna and Shree Arjuna was set up at the altar to signify the occasion. This brought the audience to the scene of the great war of Kurukshetra and to visualize the conversations between the Supreme Lord and Shree Arjuna. Decorative plaques with select verses from the Bhagavad Geeta were hung on the walls. Young devotees from GVA Gurukulaalso recited many shlokas from the Bhagavad Geeta.

The youth from the GVA Youth Program also presented the core philosophy of the Bhagavad Geeta. The presentations of all these young children were very much appreciated and admired by everyone. A Maha Arati with ecstatic kirtans was performed. The guests were served with a sumptuous Ekadashi prasadam feast.
