Huge Response for the Hindu Temple of Atlanta’s 47th Sai Health Fair

The Hindu Temple of Atlanta facilitated and hosted the 47th Sai Health Fair at the Hindu Temple, Riverdale, Georgia, on Saturday, April 19, and April 26, 2025, respectively. This event was a true celebration of service, wellness, and community spirit, and was a remarkable success.

 

Over 350 + participants received free health screenings, promoting awareness and preventive care. Free consultancy was provided by 17 committed, dedicated and widely respected, experienced physicians from 12 specialties, and nurses, assisted by over 40+ volunteers.

 

Over 200 people registered online for comprehensive blood tests at a nominal fee of $15 on April 19, which were provided by Health Soft USA and 8 skilled phlebotomists from GINA, with assistance from Vidya Kanagaraj, RN. Health Soft USA powered the comprehensive blood work services that formed the foundation of early diagnosis and preventive care.

Cardiologists Dr. Ravi Bathina, Dr. Lalitha Medepalli, and Dr. Narasimhulu Neelagaru helped with heart-related consultations, while endocrinologists Dr. S.K. Naidu helped with diabetes advice. Other specialists who provided helpful consultations were internists, Dr. Shyla Prabhakar, Dr. Keerthi Reddy, Dr. Jyoti Manekar, and Dr. Reneeta Basu; Dr. Satya Suddala (gynecologist); Dr. Kavitha Gopal (gastroenterology); Dr. Deepak Bhagwandas (physical therapy); dentistry specialist Dr. Jalpa Dave; and ophthalmologists Dr. Indira Menon and Ravali Reddy Gummi, and ENT Dr. Rao Nadig.

 

AT1__3_05_25.jpgOver 55 EKGs were carried out by Brooka Dishion. More than 50 bone-density tests were performed by Balamurali Vika and Vasudha Edura. A Bone Marrow Awareness Booth educated and encouraged lifesaving donor registrations.

 

Alternative medicine and homeopathy consultation, introducing holistic healing options, was provided by Madhavi Kasam. Certified nutritionist Rajitha RN provided health and wellness coaching, promoting healthy lifestyles.

Tea, coffee, a variety of juices and drinks, and a continental breakfast were provided to all the participants and lunch to all doctors, nurses, technicians, and volunteers by the HTA and Shanmugam family.

Special appreciation for Dr. Sujatha Reddy Garu for her outstanding leadership, tireless energy, and heartfelt coordination; and thanks also to the HTA President, Ravi Kari; past Presidents Sheela Lingam, Prashanthi Asireddy, and her niece Shriya, Rama, Uma Shanmugam, and Sneha Talika, to name a few.”

 

The Hindu Temple of Atlanta remains dedicated to promoting health, service and spiritual well-being through ongoing health fairs and outreach programs.
