Indian American Woman Makes History with First-Ever Neurodiverse Pageant in Georgia, USA

Georgia, August 2, 2025 — History was made at Celebrations Banquet Hall as Lakshmi Mandavilli, an Indian American entrepreneur, mother, and champion of inclusivity, organized Georgia’s first-ever neurodiverse pageant — the LuckyWe2 Georgia USA 2025. The event was hosted by her company LuckyWe2, an event management firm known for creating empowering platforms for all.

A long-time advocate of women’s empowerment and community service, Lakshmi was inspired to launch this unique pageant after attending a neurodiverse event. It was then she envisioned a stage where neurodiverse individuals could shine and be celebrated for who they are.

AT_Aug8_3_08_25.jpgBacked by her passionate team — Chalamayya Batchu, Priya Dharmendran, Priya Kumar, and Sneha Kalvakota — the event brought together 10 neurodiverse participants, each of whom stole the spotlight with courage, grace, and joy. The hall was packed with supportive friends, families, and well-wishers, demonstrating the strong community support for inclusivity.

Mustafa Ajmeri, Cultural Ambassador. Sai Ram Karumanchi, Board of Trustees, Telugu Association of Metro Atlanta. Madhukar Yarlagadda, Foundation Trustee, Telugu Association of North America. Jaymee Abdulsalam, IT Sector HR Leader.Lakshmi Thesam, Indian Friends of Atlanta.

Performances by two talented singers, Manisha Mehta and Beena Gajjar, added a melodic touch to the event. The evening became even more magical as several neurodiverse participants took to the stage to sing and dance, filling the hall with emotion and pride.

Lakshmi dedicated this milestone achievement to her late parents, Ramam and Padmavathi Thummalapalli, whose values of compassion and service continue to inspire her. With 16 years as a woman entrepreneur, she emphasized the importance of creating more inclusive spaces in the community and promised this is just the beginning.

A special thank you went out to the parents of all neurodiverse participants, whose trust made this event possible. Lakshmi also gave heartfelt shoutouts to close friends and supporters — Madhavi, Sravani, seema, Dr.NandiniSunkireddy Manisha, Anand, Sasi, Sreenivas, Tiru, Jayanthi, Sruthi, Beena, Anu, Ami, Sonny, Praveena, Pradeepti, Smitha, Tanooja, Praveen, Aravind, Hetal, Kamlesh, Rashmi, Resha, Gowri, Dr Deepti Talluri Rupa and many more — whose encouragement made this vision a reality.

More such inclusive events for neurodiverse individuals are planned in the future by LuckyWe2, with Lakshmi leading the charge toward a more inclusive and compassionate society.
