Indian Friends of Atlanta Hosts a Remarkable 10th Annual Women’s Fest

The Indian Friends of Atlanta (IFA) successfully hosted its 10th Annual IFA Women’s Fest 2025 at the Forsyth Conference Center at Lanier Technical College, drawing over 600 attendees from across the Indian American community. The event was a resounding celebration of women’s empowerment, cultural pride, and community engagement.
This year’s theme focused on Cancer Awareness in Women, featuring a thought-provoking panel discussion with distinguished physicians: Dr. Asha Parikh, Dr. Paulomi Shroff, Dr. Shyla Reddy, and Dr. Priya Vishnubhotla. Moderated by Manisha Mehta and Lakshmi (Lucky), the panel addressed key aspects of women’s health and prevention strategies.
Prominent entrepreneur Mrs. Kanchana Raman, Founder and President of Avion Networks and Avacend, was a special guest and spoke on the importance of economic empowerment and workforce participation for women. Community leader Mr. Nate Nateson was recognized for his contributions to the Swacch Devalaya initiative.
The event showcased a rich array of cultural performances, including classical and contemporary dance by various Atlanta-based schools and artists, such as:

Additional highlights included live music, engaging seminars, over 16 vendor booths, raffles with premium prizes—including a diamond ring sponsored by Moh Jewelers—and a striking fashion show presented by Oitijhyo.
Catering was provided by Biryani Pot, Suprabhat, Patel Brothers, and Suvidha, contributing to the event’s festive hospitality. The venue was elegantly decorated by Sruthi Chittoori, with professional media coverage by Anjali from TV Asia and photography and videography by Nehal.
