Raksha/Rivaaj Awards To Honor South Asian Women
Raksha and Rivaaj magazine will be hosting a banquet dinner on Mother's Day (May 9), at the W Hotel next to Perimeter Mall, to "celebrate and recognize the important role that South Asian women are playing in making the community a more vital and engaging place to live."
The banquet aims at recognizing Successful South Asian Women, not just in traditional business roles but also in all areas of work (media, arts, teaching, academia, etc.), says a press release. Three women from the South Asian community will receive awards on the night of the banquet.
The evening will include a reception, keynote speaker, awards presentation, silent auction to benefit Raksha, cultural dances, and a DJ party to finish up the evening.
