VT Seva Atlanta comes together to build birdhouses
On February 24, Volunteering Together for Service (VTSeva)-Atlanta, a nonprofit with more than 25 branches across America and more than 800 volunteers in the Atlanta chapter, organized a Birdhouse Making &Feeding Project at the Sharon Folks Library. More than 60 youth of all age groups from across Atlanta enjoyed making creativebirdhouses to provide home and food to the birds in harsh winter. The children painted bird houses and committed to putting bird seed and water in their birdhouses year-round. This will be instrumental to the birds’ nurturing and growth and also contribute significantly tomaking the planet healthy. Through this event, VT Seva raised $500, which they donated toprovide food for the blind and visually-challenged students of Nethra Vidyalaya, India.

Guidelines for the reports are on our website at http://www.khabar.com/magazine/around-town/guidelines_for_submitting_reports_to_around_town. Deadline: 15th of each month—for consideration in the following month. However, chances of inclusion are better if reports are received well in advance of the deadline – where possible, e.g. within 3-7 days of the event.
