Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor shine on Cannes red carpet
Alia Bhatt looked ethereal in an ivory-hued Schiaparelli gown as she walked the red carpet in her debut appearance at the Cannes Film Festival. The same evening she slipped into an embellished navy blue off-shoulder Armani Prive gown. But it was Alia’s stunning look at the closing ceremony of the festival that took everyone’s breath away. She opted for a custom- made lehenga-style drape, Gucci’s modern interpretation of a saree.
Meanwhile, actress Janhvi Kapoor too made a dazzling debut at Cannes as she walked the red carpet along with co-stars Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa, director Neeraj Ghaywan, and producer Karan Johar, ahead of the premiere of her film Homebound. A surprise head turner on the red carpet turned out to be 17-year-old Nitanshi Goel of Laapataa Ladies fame.
