Alia Bhatt recreates Rekha’s iconic Silsila look at Umrao Jaan screening
It was a night of nostalgia as a host of Bollywood celebrities turned up to celebrate the re-release of Muzaffar Ali’s 1981 cult film Umrao Jaan, which has been digitally restored. Hema Malini, Aamir Khan, Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor, Tabu, and Anil Kapoor, to name a few, were among those who attended the grand event that was jointly hosted by Muzaffar Ali and the evergreen diva Rekha herself.
While Tabu dazzled in red and Janhvi looked ethereal in a white anarkali, it was Alia Bhatt who stole the show in a soft pink saree and feathered earrings. You see, she chose to honor Rekha by recreating her iconic saree look in Silsila.
