Amitabh, Jaya walk the red carpet in New York

Amitabh Bachchan cut a dapper figure in a black tuxedo as he walked the red carpet along with his wife Jaya Bachchan, dressed elegantly in an ivory white saree, at The Great Gatsby premiere in New York recently. Although Leonardo DiCaprio, who plays Jay Gatsby, looked dashing in a blue suit, it was Big B who got the loudest cheers as he stepped onto the red carpet.
Amitabh plays a ‘blink and you miss it’ role of Jewish gambler Meyer Wolfsheim who is Gatsby’s mentor in the film, an adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s American classic novel. It marks the actor’s Hollywood debut.
