Amitabh, Rekha may share screen space again

The big buzz this time is that the most exciting onscreen and offscreen couple of the ’80s, Amitabh Bachchan and evergreen diva Rekha, may reunite on the big screen after a 32-year hiatus. Anees Bazmee, the director who may pull off this casting coup, has approached the two stars for his upcoming comedy Welcome Back, which is a sequel to his 2007 hit, Welcome. While Big B has been offered the role of a don (the one played by Feroz Khan in Welcome), Rekha might play a wealthy fashionista.

Amitabh and Rekha were last seen in Yash Chopra’s Silsila, which also starred Jaya Bachchan.
