Deepika to play Ranveer’s wife on screen

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are all set to star in their first film together after their wedding, and interestingly, they are playing husband and wife here, too! Yes, Deepika has confirmed that she is playing Romi Bhatia, Kapil Dev’s wife in 83, the biopic being made on the legendary player, to be essayed by Ranveer.
“This isn’t coming from a personal equation, but from my passion and enthusiasm for the film,” the actress explained. Asked if she will sport Romi’s trademark cropped hair, Deepika said fans would have to wait and watch!
