Dilip Kumar’s book launch a star-studded affair
The evening of June 9 saw one of the biggest gatherings of celebrities of the Hindi film industry in Mumbai coming together for the launch of the long awaited autobiography of legendary actor Dilip Kumar. The book, titled The Substance and the Shadow, was released by Dharmendra, Amitabh Bachchan, and Aamir Khan in the icon’s presence. Dilip Kumar’s heroine of many movies, Vyjanthimala lit the lamp along with Madhuri Dixit Nene and Priyanka Chopra.
Dilip Kumar’s wife Saira Banu, herself a veteran actress of yesteryears, welcomed the guests, among them Javed Akhtar, Salim Khan, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Zeenat Aman, Danny Denzongpa, Riteish Deshmukh, Farida Jalal, and Kiran Rao.
