Priyanka resumes shooting soon after father’s death
Priyanka Chopra, the thorough professional that she is, resumed shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s biopic on boxer Mary Kom, within two days of her father’s death, though she broke down on the sets. Dr. Ashok Chopra succumbed to cancer on June 10 at a Mumbai hospital. It was heartening to see all friends and colleagues of Priyanka rally around her in her hour of grief. Among those who attended the funeral and the prayer meet held a day later were Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Shahid Kapur, Deepika Padukone, Vidya Balan, Rani Mukherjee, Shilpa Shetty, Lara Dutta and Ranveer Singh. Even Kareena Kapoor, setting aside past differences with Priyanka, made it a point to be there at the prayer meet. She was accompanied by her sister, Karisma.
