Queen to play Rani Lakshmibai

There is a strong buzz that Kangana Ranaut has been confirmed to play warrior queen Rani Lakshmibai in a biopic being made on the historical icon, and that Hugh Grant is also part of the cast. Filmmaker Ketan Mehta, who remained mum on the casting, revealed recently that he wanted to make The Rising as a trilogy. So, after Mangal Pandey, this will be the second part. Apparently, the project will be an Indo-British co-production, for which Kangana will be undergoing training for warfare skills like horse riding and sword fighting for a year.
