Rani Mukherjee, not Deepika, to play Suhana Khan’s mother in King?
It’s turning out to be a star-studded line-up for the highly anticipated thriller King. After Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukherjee is said to have come onboard, which marks the actress’ onscreen reunion with Shah Rukh Khan after almost two decades. The popular pair were last seen together in Karan Johar’s Kabhi Alvidaa Naa Kehna.
The latest buzz is that Rani rather than Deepika will be playing Suhana Khan’s mother. Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff too are part of the ensemble cast. With plans for a global shooting schedule across India and Europe, the film is aiming for a theatrical release in the latter half of 2026.
