There is a strong buzz that Ranveer Singh has been roped in to play Baiju Bawra in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s version of the 1952 musical saga which featured Bharat Bhushan in the leading role. An official announcement is expected soon. Surprisingly, Deepika Padukone is not part of the project anymore as apparently, Bhansali did not agree to her demand of getting the same remuneration as her husband. Earlier, speculations were rife that Ranbir Kapoor or Kartik Aaryan could bag the coveted role.
