Salman Khan acquitted, breaks down in court

Salman Khan has been acquitted of all charges by the Mumbai High Court in the 2002 hit-and-run case and his five-year jail sentence stands cancelled. As the judge pronounced the actor not guilty, overturning the sessions court verdict, Salman heaved a sigh of relief and broke down. Many celebrities, including Dilip Kumar, Saira Banu, and Sangeeta Bijlani, were seen at his residence in the evening.

Salman had earlier remarked on a television show, “Only a dabang (fearless) judge will set me free.”
