Salman Khan undergoes surgery in the US For once, Salman Khan was not in Mumbai to celebrate Eid and Ganesh Chaturthi. The actor, who left for the U.S. on August 30, underwent an eight- hour-long surgery in a Los Angeles hospital for Trigeminal Neuralgia, a painful nerve condition that he revealed he had been suffering from for the last seven years. The disorder causes intense shock-like pain in the face, especially the jaw area. Salman decided to get it fixed as “the pain is now too much to bear.” His fans can now breathe easy as he is fine post surgery, but will take some more time to recover fully.

Salman arch-rival SRK and Hrithik Roshan were gracious enough to wish him a speedy recovery before he flew to the U.S.
