Tiger Pataudi no more, Saif-Kareena wedding deferred

Just as rumors were gaining momentum that grand preparations were on for the Saif-Kareena wedding in early February next year, came the sad news that Saif’s father, the legendary former Indian cricket captain, Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi or Tiger as he was fondly known, breathed his last in a Delhi hospital after battling a severe lung infection. (He was also the ninth and last Nawab of Pataudi until 1971, when India abolished royal entitlements.)
He was 70. His wife, Sharmila Tagore, and both his daughters were by his side when the end came.
The funeral was attended by eminent Bollywood personalities, including of course, Kareena Kapoor, her mother Babita and sister Karisma. Though the official period of mourning is six months, there will be no celebration for a year, say family members.Enjoyed reading Khabar magazine?
