DID THAT REALLY HAPPEN?
1. Chicago Public Schools and the David Lynch Foundation for Consciousness-Based Education and World Peace agreed to a $2.6 million settlement in a class-action lawsuit alleging that high school students were forced to participate in Transcendental Meditation sessions.
2. Vivek Ramaswamy’s chief opponent for the Republican nomination in the 2026 Ohio governor’s race suspended his campaign, making Ramaswamy the frontrunner.
3. An Indian man based in New York pled guilty to staging armed robberies at various stores to make the store clerks eligible for special nonimmigrant visas for victims of violent crimes.
4. FBI director Kash Patel was ridiculed online for looking small while sitting in a big chair during a Fox News interview.
5. Patel insisted he’s really 5-foot-9 and said that he’s willing to prove it by taking a lie detector test.
(1, 2, 3, and 4 really happened.)
