How much do you know about current events in India and the U.S.? Try this short quiz!

1. An Indian-American businessman in Georgia was accused of conducting a Super Bowl ticket scam in which his own mother lost $36,000.

2. TD Bank in Canada stopped running online ads that used the term “desi” to target the South Asian community after an Indo-Canadian man complained that the term was offensive.

3. Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi was named the chairman of the House Oversight Committee’s Subcommittee on Economic and Consumer Policy, becoming the first South Asian American to chair a congressional committee or subcommittee.

4. Krishnamoorthi also became the first South Asian American politician to have a title that’s longer than his name.

5. A 27-year-old man from Mumbai announced his intention to sue his parents for giving birth to him without his consent.

(1, 2, 3, and 5 really happened.)
