They never reached the upper echelons of singles tennis like Ramanathan Krishnan and Vijay Amritraj, but Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi are leaving an impressive mark in doubles, winning 14 grand slam titles, including two in 2006. No other Indian has ever won a grand slam title, except in the junior ranks. Their titles:

1997 French Open, Bhupathi and Rika Hiraki (Japan), mixed doubles.

1999 French Open, Bhupathi and Paes, men's doubles.

1999 Wimbledon, Bhupathi and Paes, men's doubles.

1999 Wimbledon, Paes and Lisa Raymond (USA), mixed doubles.

1999 US Open, Bhupathi and Ai Sugiyama (Japan) mixed doubles.

2001 French Open, Bhupathi and Paes, men's doubles.

2002 Wimbledon, Bhupathi and Elena Likhovtseva (Russia), mixed doubles.

2002 US Open, Bhupathi and Max Mirnyi (Belarus), men's doubles.

2003 Australian Open, Paes and Martina Navratilova (USA), mixed doubles.

2003 Wimbledon, Paes and Martina Navratilova (USA), mixed doubles.

2005 Wimbledon, Bhupathi and Mary Pierce (France), mixed doubles.

2005 US Open, Bhupathi and Daniela Hantuchova (Slovakia), mixed doubles.

2006 Australian Open, Bhupathi and Martina Hingis, (Switzerland), mixed doubles.

2006 US Open, Paes and Martin Damm (Czech), men's doubles.
