Dr. Venkat Narayan of Emory receives Diabetes Award
Dr. K.M. Venkat Narayan, executive director of the Emory Global Diabetes Research Center at the Woodruff Health Sciences Center, is the recipient of the 2025 Distinguished International Service in the Cause of Diabetes Award, presented by the American Diabetes Association to recognize individuals who have made outstanding contributions to diabetes research, evaluation, and care with a global impact. Dr. Narayan holds the Ruth and O.C. Hubert Chair of Global Health and has appointments in epidemiology and endocrinology at Emory University. An elected member of the U.S. National Academy of Medicine and a foreign fellow of the Indian National Science Academy, Dr. Narayan has played a key role in shaping policies and interventions. He has been a contributor to Khabar.
