Krish Wadhwani, a junior at Denmark High School in Forsyth County, has been selected as a Carson Scholar. Krish will receive a $1000 scholarship provided by the Carson Scholars Fund, a nonprofit founded by pediatric neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson and his wife, Candy. In addition to excelling at Denmark, Krish works on synthetic therapeutics for dementia patients by partnering with research institutions through his nonprofit, HD Solvera. He has led thirty volunteers to partner at various metro Atlanta hospitals where they donated 500 service hours last year. He is working to partner with local restaurants to raise money for Covid-19 relief. Krish was earlier picked as one of Georgia’s top volunteers by the United States’ largest community service youth recognition program.
