Dr. Sreeni Gangasani, cardiologist, past president of GAPI, and member of the board of trustees of the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI), has been elected as AAPI treasurer. He serves as director of the GAPI Volunteer Clinic in Global Mall, chair for AAPI CME, and member of the board of trustees of GAPI. He also currently serves on the Georgia Composite Medical Board. Gangasani served as chair of the AAPI convention in Atlanta in 2019 and 2021, and chair of the AAPI Global Health Summit (2019-20) in Hyderabad, India. He is past chair of the Department of Internal Medicine at Northside Gwinnett Hospital. The founding partner of Cardiovascular Group based in metro Atlanta, Gangasani is a practicing cardiologist in Lawrenceville, Georgia, with board certifications in cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, heart failure, and transplantation. He graduated with gold medals from Kurnool Medical College of the University of Health Sciences.
