Salman, Katrina

?knot' married!

The buzz that rocked the industry and media recently was about our man Salman Khan having tied the knot with his pretty girlfriend Katrina Kaif. The whispers just kept getting louder: Salman and Katrina had a registered marriage, was the hushed talk in some sections of the press, while some scribes insisted that since Ms Kaif was down with malaria there was no way the two could have got married! Katrina predictably denies the whole thing, but then the lady even denies the presence of Salman in her life, insisting she's just friends with his sister Alvira. And no one dared ask Salman lest they be bashed up!

Meanwhile, the Salman-Shilpa Shetty reel life pair is making waves in Bollywood. After sizzling together in Garv, the two ?good friends' will be seen in Phir Milenge (Shall Meet Again), directed by Revathy. Giving Salman and Shilpa the pleasure of his good company is Abhishek Bachchan, who plays a lawyer in the film which has AIDS as its backdrop.

Aby's baby is a hit

with his heroines

While on Abhishek, his Run may not have had a dream run at the box office but off-screen, the guy sure is a hit with his heroines and even their mothers! The buzz is that all his co-stars ? Rani Mukherjee, Shilpa Shetty, Esha Deol and Amisha Patel ? are absolutely smitten by him. Yes, Aby's baby is the hottest bachelor in tinseltown. Rani's mother in fact has gone on record as having said that her daughter and Abhishek would make a very good couple. They have already played husband and wife in two flicks. And whom does the dark and handsome fellow himself fancy? Well, if rumours are to be believed, this Yuva is getting utterly fond of Preity Zinta. What's more, mom Jayaji is said to dote on her onscreen daughter (Remember Kal Ho Naa Ho?). So Abhishek, you already have mommy dear's blessings!

By the way, Abhishek has received rave reviews for his fantastic performance in Mani Ratnam's Yuva. Seems like Bachchan Jr. is finally getting his due.

Sushmita is RGV's

latest muse

Is Sushmita Sen Ram Gopal Varma's latest muse? The industry is abuzz with speculation as to whether the Bengali SEN(sation) has replaced Antara Mali in RGV's affections. The director remains tight-lipped when queried about his latest heroine dismissing it with a "No comments". Industry folks say that's pretty uncharacteristic of Ramuji who has always been open about his relationships. And the basis of this rumour? Well, the gorgeous former Miss Universe is acting in Ramu's Vaastu Shastra, a scary film and also in his adventure flick Nimmi which, however, is on hold at the moment. What lends credence to this talk is the fact that Sush is single and ready to mingle after her break-up with model-actor Randeep Hooda. And oh, before we forget, Urmi dear like a bhoot, is lurking somewhere in the picture too. She is after all her mentor's original muse.

Meanwhile, after her sizzling chemistry teacher act in Main Hoon Na, Sushmita will now set the screen afire as a prostitute in Kalpana Lajmi's The Postman And The Prostitute.

Chaplin's granddaughter

in Indian film

Her grandpa inspires her no end but "I love doing my own thing, be it films, music, fashion or social activism," says Kiera Chaplin, the 21-year-old granddaughter of Charlie Chaplin who has starred in films like The Importance of Being Earnest and Aimee McPherson Story. And it's a film that has brought Kiera on her maiden visit to India. The great granddaughter of playwright Eugene O'Neil ? Charlie Chaplin had married the playwright's daughter Oona O'Neil ? is in India to shoot for a film titled Yatna. Kiera plays a French missionary who falls in love with a married Bengali doctor played by Victor Banerjee. The movie, directed by debutante Rajshree Ojha, is being shot in the Indian cities of Kochi, Kolkata and Mumbai. "It's a wonderful love story," says Kiera. Well, Kiera's love story with India has just begun.
